WWDC Bash

On Thursday 14th, the WWDC Bash was held in the Yerba Buena Gardens. Good food, good drink and good music from Ozomatli – overall a good time.

WWDC Keynote

A 5am start and we still ended up halfway from the front! But it was all worth the wait – great keynote, a real buzz inside, with some neat audio-visual things happening on the big screens.

Cupertino – The Mothership

On Sunday 10th June, a group of us visited the Apple Company Store in Cupertino, California. It was a major geek-fest, with two carloads of us travelling the 40-odd miles (64km) down Highway 101 from San Francisco to Apple, Inc. Headquarters at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino.Without the organisation of Andrew Jeffrey from the Apple University Consortium we would have had to bus it down there. Thanks Andrew!

Walking San Francisco

A 7 hour walk of San Francisco in the scorching sun, and with nothing in my stomach except for a bran muffin, I took these photos (among many more):

Union Square

This is a photo of Union Square in San Francisco, with a huge Apple iPod billboard looming above. There are many such iPod billboards in San Francisco, which is kind of preaching to the converted in this city!

Out of the shot, Macy’s is to the right, and Saks Fifth Avenue to the left.

The Toaster Oven

After the long flight and the lack of food from Air New Zealand, off we went in search of something decent to eat. And we found it at The Toaster Oven. Think of it as a classier Subway.
